Jo L. Gessert Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Horse Breeding
Veteran Breeder Produces Winning Horses.
ACTON, CA, April 10, 2009 /Direct Marketing PR News/ -- Jo L. Gessert, Vice President of Running G Ranch, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of horse breeding.
Prompted by a lifelong love for horses, Ms. Gessert began her career in the horse industry in 1993. She has devoted the last seven years to Running G, an 80-acre ranch that specializes in breeding, training and showing quarter horses and reined cow horses. An expert in finance and business operations management, she is in charge of overseeing finances, organizing horse shows, managing business and ranch operations, and marketing horses for sale. Ms. Gessert is proud of the quality of the horses that the ranch breeds. The first show seasons for Running G Ranch was for the 2008 show season wherein Running G Ranch's accomplishments include: Champion Header and third place Heeler in the American Rope Horse Futurity; Limited Open Reserve Champion Reiner in the Hollywood Charity Derby; World Qualifier in Junior Heading and Junior Heeling at the American Quarter Horse World Show, finishing as finalist in Heading and fifth in the World in Heeling. Seeing her first bred horse win the Rope Horse Futurity and go on to qualify for the World has been the highlight of her career so far. She attributes her success to her hard work.
A graduate of University of Alaska Anchorage, Ms. Gessert received her Associate of Arts in Business Administration in 1975. She is affiliated with the Central Coast Reining Horse Association, the Pacific Coast Reining Horse Association, the National Reining Horse Association, the American Quarter Horse Association and the National Reined Cow Horse Association. Away from work, Ms. Gessert enjoys spending time with her nine-year-old granddaughter. She looks forward to expanding the business further.
